How to watch video and Blu-ray movie on Nook Color?

Nook Color made the update to 1.2, the best eBook Reader become more and more popular, not only for reading, but also for playing game and watching movies. It cost much less than iPad, and the last time is about 7 hours watch movies(iPad 2 is about 10 hours). Nook Color can play these video formats: 3GP, 3G2, MP4, M4V, and OGG. And supports MPEG-4 Simple Profile up to 854×480, H.263 up to 352×288, and H.264 Baseline profile up to 854×480.

I have a pretty huge collection of videos, all different types, mostly divx/xvid, some h.264, and I have lots of Blu-ray discs at home. So far, none have worked well on this device. Unrooted Nook Color only plays MP4 video by the way.

I found a tool called Pavtube Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate, it can handle all videos and Blu-ray discs, and convert to Nook Color with the optimized video format (MP4, 848×480, H.264 codec, 1500kbps avg bitrate, AAC 48KHz 160Kbps).

The only thing left is to set the destination for the final file. Browse to whatever folder you want, but be sure to use .mp4 or .m4v as the file extension, if you use anything else the Nook Color will not recognize it as a video file even if everything else is right.

I got the good picture and sound play on Nook Color. Because the Nook Color storage is big enough(and even support SD card), so I usually convert movies on it and watch them on my way to work or holiday. Enjoy it.
